Finance must act as an enabler of the whole organization. It must be present in the background making as less noise as possible to let the other departments shine and thrive.
Project Management experience
I started my career in Switzerland as Project manager in the elevator industry. I was managing the project after release to engineering until Assembly took over to perform the final assembly onsite.
After that I was coordinating projects in the Quality side of the business for other companies in the Med Tech industry.
In 2019 I obtained my PMP Certification.
PMI volunteering experience
I joined the Swiss Chapter recently, in 2021 and I started my volunteering experience in finance.
Although the activity of the chapter is still not entirely what it was before the pandemic, I already had the opportunity of contributing rewriting and drafting some of the existing finance and accounting procedures.
As a part of the accounting team I am also a deputy accountant.
My motivation and key priorities within the chapter
Already holding experience as an administrator of another association in Zurich (Catalonia Global Institute), my main driver to take a step ahead is that I would like to contribute further to the establishment of leaner processes and procedures and make the finance part of the chapter as efficient as possible, enabling it to grow.
Should I be elected as Finance VP, my focus will be on:
- Continuing streamlining procedures and processes
- Boosting financial efficiency
- Ensuring collaboration and financial planning among all the departments
