Dear colleagues, project professionals and enthusiasts,

The Annual Members Meeting 2024 is now behind us, but its good vibes still resonate within me.

Great venue, great team, great audience! One Board finished the year with plenty of success and celebrating achievements, and another one started with new challenges, ideas, objectives…

I spoke with many of you that evening and the common point amongst all was the confidence in our community. A community of professionals who can share stories of success (and failure, too), advance knowledge and skills, and help one another in improving the way we work and make our impact.

Our community is the very reason for our existence, and our first and ultimate responsibility. Corporate community stands beside, helping us not only through their generous financial support, but also by presenting new professional challenges. Last but not least, we are a part of the global PMI community that defines and promotes professional standards, as well as recommendations that help professionals learn and develop, support corporations in their growth. This community of professionals, our corporate community, and the PM Institute are the three pillars of our Chapter’s strategy. Whatever we do, we strive to bring value to at least one of them without detriment to the others

But these pillars do not exist in isolation. We all live in a world that suffers impactful changes to the basic quality of life. Climate change is threatening our very existence and the response cannot be singular. The required strategic responses include: sustainable development, circular economy, waste reduction, and clean technologies, to name a few. These strategies already dominate professional discussions around the world, and this is no exception within our Chapter. We all have a responsibility as professionals... as corporations... as institutions... for the benefit of all humanity.

Should you share these concerns, we invite you to join us in addressing them. Should you feel that there are other concerns that should be addressed, we welcome you suggestions, recommendations and proposals. In any case, we encourage you to contact us to share your views.

Feel free to reach out to each Board member individually - President included - we are here for you: About the Chapter

Looking forward to your responses,

Nikola Goran Čutura,

PMI Switzerland Chapter President
