About the speaker:

Sean Wells is a Global Project Manager and a member of Novartis’ professional Global Project Management department.
He is currently the Global Project Manager of the Glivec®/Gleevec™, Heavyweight International Project Team, which is a multi-disciplinary team
responsible for managing the global development of one of Novartis’ top priority projects called Glivec®/Gleevec™ which was launched across the
world in 2001 for the treatment of Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia.

Sean Wells is a Bristish national who has been living and working in Basel for over 5 years and is a Project Management Professional (PMP®).
His first degree was in biotechnology from South Bank University, and second higher degree in molecular virology
from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London.

SAP Banking Platform Implementation Project at the Zuger Kantonalbank

When CSC Switzerland started the project at the Zuger Kantonalbank to
replace most of the core banking applications with SAP standard modules,
they knew it would be a pioneer project. Until then no other Swiss bank had
previously used SAP modules to this extent. CSC Switzerland soon realized
that it takes much more than technical experience to manage a project of
this magnitude. But after a project duration of only 24 months, the system
went live on April 1
st
2002 and since then it is running
without major problems. Because of its uniqueness in the Swiss Banking
history this project has attracted the attention of the entire Swiss
banking market.

Martin Härri, PMP, worked for several consulting companies and the Zurich
Financial Services Group and has over 10 years of project
experience. At CSC Switzerland he was project office manager of an Internet
banking project and test coordinator for the project at the Zuger
Kantonalbank. He now heads the project management team of CSC Switzerland,
Business Unit Banking.

- Building a private customer business for the Rentenanstalt/Swiss Life
- a new premium system for the field forces
