André Dosé - Project Phoenix
In his presentation, André Dosé will cover the unique experience of a truly special project: The creation of a worldwide airline in just six months.
The project “Phoenix” was a national effort to build a new airline in Switzerland, later named Swiss International Airlines. The project started immediately after the bankruptcy of Swissair in the fall of 2001, only a month after the tragic events of 9-11, and at a time the world airline-industry plunged in its deepest crisis ever.
Under very intense observation and criticism of the Swiss public, the press, political and economical leaders of the country there was only one result possible: To be successful.
The project included all aspects of challenging management tasks at once: A start-up, a merger, a restructuring and the launch of a worldwide brand. Affected by several unforeseen challenges and even a disaster André and his project team had to adjust their plans many times to successfully launch the new airline. Join André on an exciting journey thorough these 6 months and learn from his very unique project and management experiences.
